Nanki Bhullar received a fellowship through the Maddy Institute, an organization focused on improving leadership training, political engagement, and policy research in the Central Valley. The fellowship is called the "Wonderful Public Service Fellowship", that awards individuals pursuing graduate degrees in public service with a $56,000 scholarship and an opportunity to work for a social agency for two years. Since she will be enrolled at UCLA this fall to pursue two concurrent degrees (for my Masters in Social Work and Masters in Public Health)--on the way to her doctorate-she was eligible to apply for and receive this fellowship.
