Encourage a friend to join you in making meatless Mondays a practice of sustainability during the Season of Lent (and beyond!). It is the small, sustainable changes which will have the greatest impact on our shared future.

Since Monday of this week, you've been inviting to eat less meat in a sustainable fashion. Today's challenge invites you to be a vegetarian. Cultivate an attitude of mindfulness and gratitude for your food by eating local and organic vegetables.

Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Wangari Maathai once said: “…It is the little things that citizens do that will make the difference…” For your own part, today’s challenge invites you to buy only food that you will eat. In addition, only buy local and organic foods if possible. It is the little things that YOU do that will make a difference.
