New permanent exhibition on view starting January 10, 2020
The Santa Clara Valley has a rich and dynamic history. Through historical objects and artifacts, the permanent California Stories exhibition traces the story of the site where Santa Clara University now stands, from Native California to the founding of Mission Santa Clara de Asís, through the Rancho Period and Gold Rush, and up to the early years of Santa Clara College.
October 4, 2019 - June 13, 2020 (limited hours October 15-30; closed for academic breaks November 28 - December 2, December 7-January 9, March 14-30, and April 10)
Drawn entirely from the de Saisset Museum's permanent collection, Making an Impression celebrates the expressive potential for artists to “make their mark” on paper through various printmaking processes. This exhibition features over 30 artworks, including pieces by Kathryn Kain, Enrique Chagoya, Marguerite Saegesser, Inez Storer, Pablo Picasso, and Joan Miro.

Comprised of alluring human-scaled, hands-on sculptural objects, this exhibition invites viewers to touch the art. These biomorphic interactive sculptures are the work of Bay Area artist Stephanie Metz, who transforms wool and felt into novel forms inviting a tactile experience.
