Rachel M. Ashman is a multi-disciplinary visual artist that focuses on process-based work. Her work primarily revolves around concepts of the home, memory, and aging. Growing up in a family of dedicated crafts people has guided her love for time and labor that is reflected in her art. Her work focuses primarily in ceramic, fabric, photography and metal. Currently she is experimenting with ceramic glaze chemistry and the leftover chemical evidence that everyday products leave on ceramics.
