Jill Pellettieri receives the Dr. David E. Logothetti Teaching Award

Jill Pellettieri, Associate Professor of Spanish, received the 2020 Dr. David E. Logothetti Teaching Award. This University award is given in recognition of having established among colleagues and students a well-deserved reputation for an energetic, engaging, and effective teaching style, and having demonstrated the ability to motivate other teachers and learners.

Jimia Boutouba, Chair of The Department of Modern Languages and Literature: “Jill is a true visionary, she has inspired many great changes in the department, including developing and implementing cutting-edge curricula in language and culture acquisition, novel pedagogical approaches and reliable assessment tools, all with the goal to help students develop practical skills that translate between cultures and markets. Her courses truly align with our Jesuit values and the ELSJ’s stated mission of taking students to engage with society beyond its University walls. Jill has achieved spectacular success as a teacher, as evidenced in her class materials, student achievements, and her own reflections. This award recognizes her exemplary contributions.”
