Steven Del Chiaro

Academic Year Adjunct Lecturer

Greetings fellow psychology Broncos! I have been teaching psychology courses since 2004 starting at San Jose State University. I have also had the pleasure of teaching at other institutions in the San Francisco Bay Area, such as Foothill College, University of Palo Alto, Holy Names University, and now Santa Clara University. I also served as the Chair of the undergraduate psychology department at John F. Kennedy University for 11 years. Outside of academia, I work with clients, mostly Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Department, where I provide psychological services and I consult with different organizations to improve employee experience. Additionally, I am an executive coach, providing consulting services for mid-level managers.

I am a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, born and raised on the peninsula. I attended San Diego State University earning a BA in psychology, Loras College (MS in clinical psychology), and University of San Francisco where I earned a doctorate in counseling psychology, (PsyD).

If I had to describe myself in 2 words (phrases), they would be: dog-person and enjoys humor.
