The LEAD Scholars Program

Transfer Peer Mentors and Educators support our new transfer students throughout their first year at Santa Clara University. Peer mentors create community during LEAD Week, meet regularly with their mentees throughout their first year and plan activities for their mentoring groups. Transfer peer educators are a source of support and information in the Advanced LEAD Seminar class that introduces transfer students to SCU resources and leadership opportunities.

Hi my name is Kaitlin Cagawan.

I'm from San Bruno and I am a junior studying Political Science with a minor in Arabic, Islamic, and Middle Eastern Studies. My favorite class I've taken at SCU so far has been Law, Security, and Force. A few fun facts about me are that I love country music, am an American history aficionado, and am the queen of the coastal granddaughter aesthetic. In addition to LEAD, I am also involved in IGNITE. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you!
