Translation and Interpreting

Lea Bruzzo Delgadillo '20 recently began working as a translator and interpreter for a legal case regarding immigration.

I recently began working as a translator and interpreter for a legal case regarding immigration. Though it has been challenging at times, it has exposed me to both human rights law and translation, the two career paths that I am trying to decide between. The work is challenging but rewarding, and I am grateful to be a part of the process. I am also thankful to have taken Dr. Callahan's translation course here at SCU, as it has given me a sense of preparation and confidence that I do not believe I would have had otherwise.

--Lea will be studying abroad in Argentina in Fall 2019.  She is majoring in Communication and Spanish Studies.
