Register with OAE

Students may register for academic accommodations with OAE anytime. However, please keep in mind in the absence of an unanticipated disability-related medical crisis, application materials submitted during the last week of class and Finals Week will be processed and implemented for the following term.

To register with OAE, please complete the steps below. If you have questions or need assistance throughout the registration process, please contact us.

1. Complete the online application

Registration Portal

The application will require students to upload a digital copy of appropriate documentation of the disability from a qualified professional.

For incoming students: You can complete the online application once you have access to your SCU email address.

2. Schedule your meeting with an OAE Advisor

Once your online application is submitted, the next step is to schedule an appointment with one of our Access Specialists. During this meeting, the Access Specialist will guide you through the interactive process and discuss your accommodation needs with you.

To schedule your appointment, log in to the OAE portal via the Registration Portal link above. Then select “View Application,” navigate to the “Appointments” tab, and activate the “Request an Appointment” button. Then you will be able to search for availability and schedule your appointment.

3. Meet with an OAE adviser

Your appointment will take approximately 60 minutes and will include a review of submitted application materials and a discussion regarding accommodations requested. OAE cannot guarantee accommodations will be provided during this meeting as more information (student report, clinical documentation, etc.) may be necessary prior to OAE prescribing reasonable accommodations at SCU. During this meeting, an OAE adviser will let you know if additional documentation is necessary and discuss the need for any follow-up meetings.

Important Note: The Intake Interactive Meeting is for students only. Parents/Guardians, if you have any questions regarding the Intake Interactive Meeting, please follow up with your student.
