What is the new rule for participating in commencement if I finish my degree in summer, fall or winter term?
SCU's annual commencement ceremony takes place in June. Students may participate in June Commencement if they received their degree in preceding summer, fall, or winter quarters.
Students who will be completing their degrees in the summer or fall quarter immediately following the June Commencement may be eligible to participate in June Commencement. To participate in commencement, candidates for a bachelor’s degree must have completed all degree requirements (or must have 20 or fewer units to complete) and a minimum overall grade point average of 2.0 as well as in all courses in their academic major(s) and academic minor(s). Candidates must clearly demonstrate that all course work will be completed by either summer or fall immediately following June Commencement and must have completed and submitted their "pre-graduation evaluation" form(s) to the Office of the Registrar.
