Curriculum Vitae (CV)

Professor Savannah Wei Shi is an associate professor in the marketing department at the Leavey School of Business and holds RMI’s J.C. Penney Research Professorship.

Savannah teaches Principles of Marketing, Internet Marketing (undergraduate and graduate levels), and has defined an original curriculum model, in collaboration with Professor Kalyanam, called the Art and Science of Merchandising. The class provides seniors in the retail studies program with the latest technologies and analytical methods that aid how merchandise may be procured, managed, and sold in various retail settings. The class combines discussions presented on key concepts, industry guest speakers that lead the conversation on real-world merchandising with student presentations that examine and evaluate selected retailers merchandising decisions.

Savannah is the recipient of the Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business Outstanding Teaching and Research Awards, and the Paul Root award from the Marketing Science Institute. She received her Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Maryland, College Park.
