Dr. Hegland receives National Humanities Center fellowship for research on Iran

Professor Mary Elaine Hegland has been awarded a fellowship for academic year 2016-2017 at the National Humanities Center in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. The fellowship will support Hegland’s research on “Religion, Ritual, and Politics” in Iran. National Humanities Center Fellows are named after a rigorous and competitive selection process. This year the center named 30 fellows out of 449 total applications.
