Greg Giomi '09
An ancient studies major while at SCU, Greg sent in this update:
"My name is Gregory Giomi, class of ’09 and ’18 (Masters). I am fortunate to be teaching ancient history to 6th graders at Bret Harte in San Jose. It has been nothing short of amazing even during these times. I am expanding the casual palate in history to include Persia and The Hellenistic Age outside of Alexander in the mainstream curriculum by designing unique lessons and activities. I cannot sufficiently express the immeasurable benefits my classical education has given me and would encourage everybody to absorb all that our discipline has to offer as they find their own personal cursus honorum. I have found that the ability to think critically is going extinct these days and challenge you all to be the stewards of both progress and tradition."
