Stephen received his Ph.D in Rhetoric in May 1996 from the University of California, Berkeley.
Stephen is a composition and pedagogy specialist with a strong background in modern rhetorical theory, argumentation, philosophy, and hermeneutics.  He often uses information systems technology for pedagogical purposes, primarily for improving undergraduate education.
