Dr. Leslie Gray walks the Camino de Santiago in an effort to develop an immersive course
Dr. Leslie Gray was in Spain this summer with several SCU faculty and staff walking the Camino de Santiago, or “Way of St. James”, an ancient pilgrimage route that retraces the footsteps taken by millions of pilgrims through Spain to the sacred city of Santiago de Compostela. The Camino is known as a voyage that challenges both the spirit and the body, but leads to reflection, discernment and spiritual growth. Leslie was only able to walk part of the Camino but is looking forward to returning in the future to develop contemplative leadership immersions for SCU students.
