While at Santa Clara, I originally chose to pursue an Italian minor in order to be prepared while abroad, however, I’m now pursuing my minor because of my amazing experience with the Italian department at Santa Clara. Each class has enriched my own Italian identity and each professor has encouraged me to think critically about the power of language and cultural differences. With my experience as an Italian minor, my future abroad, and my more developed sense of Italianess, I wish to continue to study and use Italian throughout my life. I could not make this a reality without the help of my professors and all who have supported me while at Santa Clara.
