The Neuroscience Program at Santa Clara University is thrilled to announce that two new scholars will be joining us in Fall 2017. Laura Cocas, whose primary appointment will be in Biology, is coming to us from Cal State Los Angeles where she has been teaching many different neuroscience courses. Dr. Cocas’ research focuses on developing and using molecular tools to trace neuronal circuits in the developing brain. Lindsay Halladay, whose primary appointment will be in Psychology, is wrapping up her post-doctoral work at the National Institutes of Mental Health. Dr. Halladay’s research focuses on linking addiction behavior with cellular and molecular changes in the brain. Both scholars use rodents as their model system and their work has important implications for human disease and behavior. We are looking forward to their contributions to the Neuroscience program.
