Christopher Lindrud '20 selected as Jean Donovan Fellow
Christopher Lindrud will be interning at Villa Grimaldi, a human rights advocacy organization based out of Santiago, Chile over the summer of 2019. After studying abroad in Chile his junior year, Christopher made connections through his professors at Alberto Hurtado University in Santiago and is looking forward to emerging himself in Chilean politics and culture for a second time. His internship was made possible by the Jean Donovan fellowship sponsored through the Ignatian Center at Santa Clara University which provides 15 students a year with funding for a summer-long, social justice oriented volunteer project or internship. He will be analyzing historical documents and collecting personal accounts related to the former Pinochet dictatorship and how its impacts are felt by Chileans to this day. Christopher was thrilled to accept the Jean Donovan Fellowship and can’t wait to be a part of a community-oriented, and socially conscious organization like Villa Grim.
