Sonja Mackenzie (SCU) and Anamaria Bejarano (The Health Trust) have been selected to participate in the Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) Partnership Academy at the Detroit Urban Research Center of the Univ. of Michigan. The Partnership Academy is an integrated one-year research education program, in which Sonja and Anamaria will join with eleven other community-academic teams from across the country to engage in an intensive week-long CBPR course on July 16th – 21st, and ongoing mentored learning activities throughout the year.
