The 2015 Valeriote Goldman Symposium featured an exhibition, in the Harrington Learning Commons, of work by acclaimed freelance photographer Mark Tuschman. Mr Tuschman displayed a selection of photographs from his upcoming book, Faces of Courage: Intimate Portraits of Women on the Edge. Drawing on his commitment to issues of global health and development, Mr. Tuschman uses his work to expose viewers to both the suffering in today's world and the courage people manifest to overcome it.
