Koret Fellowships 2017-2018

Vivienne Bui-Tu Fellowship 17-18
Vivienne Bui-Tu
Biology major and Sociology minor, Class of 2019

My goal after finishing these two classes over the summer is to learn how to create
experimental designs that could later help me with public health internships. With this skill I would be able to help create public health interventions that could help improve a community’s or population’s health. Learning how to use statistical software is also another valuable skill that I can later utilize in a public health internship. Understanding gender and sexuality and the impacts our cultural and social structures have on it is a good perspective to develop in being a compassionate and understanding person. This would be a valuable skill to have later on when I become a doctor.
