Marketing major, Class of 2021
I am a part of the LEAD Scholars Program’s trip to the Dominican Republic. Andrea Santillan and Alma Llamas will be our supervisors for the trip. The trip is meant to provide the students with knowledge on the culture of the Dominican Republic from how religion is practiced, unique social norms of the region, to even what food is considered a staple for the country. Although we haven’t been given too much
information about the trip, I am aware that we will be travelling around one region of the country, having time to communicate with locals while we do so. I am also aware that we will be reflecting throughout the day and journaling our responses and thoughts on various observations.
