I looked at it as a privilege and jumped in with both feet. I'm grateful for incredible advisors in those years who helped me develop as a student.
What message do you have to share with current first-generation college students?
Be patient with yourself as you settle in and adjust to new routines and expectations. And, don't be shy to seek out people to support you and your interests.
