What was your college experience like as a first-generation college student?
As I reflect on my college experience, I cringe. Being a first-generation student came with its obstacles and hardships that no one prepares you for, especially being a transfer student. With determination, I was able to fight the good fight and before I knew it, my undergraduate journey came to an end. My journey at SCU did not stop there since I am now a staff member and recently completed my masters degree. Overall, I am proud to be a Bronco!
What message do you have to share with current first-generation college students?
Push through! Celebrate the small moments as they will help you along the way. During that challenging time, step back and remind yourself of your "WHY". You got this!
