What was your college experience like as a first-generation college student?
Challenging. Rewarding. Unforgettable in all senses. There was a heavy weight on my shoulders while being the pioneer in my family for higher education. With support from LEAD and allies on campus, I was able to form a support system.
What message do you have to share with current first-generation college students?
Keep swimming. Ask for help. It's okay to cry.
