What was your college experience like as a first-generation college student?
Transformative! As I was growing up, the emphasis was on our family against the world. In college I learned not only was I a part of the world, but that I could contribute to its betterment.
What message do you have to share with current first-generation college students?
No one is born knowing how the university system works and how best to use it. Don't hesitate to reach out for help when YOU need it. SCU wants you to succeed, and wants to help you to succeed.
