Save the date: Aoki local art exhibition June 24th
Kathy Aoki will have a new solo installation at the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art: Opening Reception June 24th (Sunday) entitled #WishYouWereHere.
Aoki received a grant to make a Hello Kitty Monument Selfie Diorama and fake visitors' museum. It's also the premiere of
her augmented reality experience connected to a large sculpture of Hello Kitty Monument fragments (thanks to help from student Carl Maggio in the Imaginarium).
June 24th 2-4 pm public reception (free)
August 26th performance as curator of the Museum of Historical Makeovers. I will wear a wig! (students - free, non-members - $10)
Sept 7th girl power activist workshop with sign-making (free)
