And That’s a Wrap!
On Tuesday of this week, members of the Licia Imports team arranged for one final store visit. We revisited our earliest encounters (nearly 20 weeks ago!) and recounted the progress we’ve made since then. Through our ups and downs, challenges and successes, changes in expectations and project plans, our team drew on a handful lessons that will continue to serve us in our personal and academic careers. Two quarters, as we’ve learned, goes by very quickly – but as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. It was a bittersweet ending to an energizing and rewarding two quarters.
Sergio and Licia are planning to vacation for the entire month of July at their home in São Jorge, Portugal. In preparation for their extended trip, they made sure to get in touch with the customers from whom they expected bulk orders. Sergio noted that June and July were routinely busy months and an especially popular time for which many of his most loyal customers submit purchase orders. The store was jam-packed with inventory ready to be packaged and shipped to their respective destinations. The vacation, it seems, will be much deserved!
Our team learned of one final update that Licia and Sergio are quite excited about: San Jose’s Annual Dia de Portugal Festival is taking place on June 10, the day after the installation of the storefront’s new sign. The city’s free festival attracts individuals and families from Northern & Southern California and beyond. We sincerely hope that our efforts to promote the awareness of Licia Imports in the San Jose area will be captured by this weekend’s influx parade-goers. We wish Sergio and Licia the best in their endeavors, and hope that they have learned as much as we have over the course of this project!
