Something That Is So Great About Henry Is that He Is Just Extremely Friendly and Is Just as Excited to Work with Us as We Are to Work with Him
This week my group had the opportunity to visit our business owner at his base of operations. Our business owner is Henry, and his business is Green Bay Hauling. Following our dinner with Henry and hearing all about his business, we were still a little unclear about what exactly his business was; therefore we were all very excited to go to the location in which he works out of and gain better insight into everything that he does. Due to the nature of Henry’s business, he does not have a storefront like many of the other businesses, but rather, he has his own yard, where he stores his truck and his debris boxes when they are not in use by customers. In the corner of the yard, there is a small office building which is where we did all of the talking in order to escape the rain.
Something that is so great about Henry is that he is just extremely friendly and is just as excited to work with us as we are to work with him. The second we all sat down in the office, he pulled out all his paper work, his business plan, financial information, etc. and was excited to get to work discussing the business. Something else that my group really appreciated was that he even went through the trouble of buying water bottles and Krispy Kreme donuts for us all, something he did not have to do whatsoever. We essentially spent the entire time chatting, throwing out all kinds of ideas about different ways would could potentially help the business, and just getting to know each other better. Henry’s business in a nutshell is that he rents out large debris boxes of various sizes to companies as well as residential customers. The customers then fill them up, and then Henry comes back, picks the boxes up, takes them to the dumps, and then brings them back to the same or another customer. Henry’s biggest predicament is that he simply does not have enough boxes to meet customer demand, which in our minds, is a good problem to have in the sense that he has the demand; he just needs to be able to service it all.
The most exciting part of our visit was when Henry showed us his truck, one of his debris boxes, and the process of how he gets the box on and off his truck. It was awesome to see how it all worked, and the sheer size of the truck and the box was a little intimidating. It excited Henry to see how excited we were about his business; there was just excitement all around. Overall, the visit was awesome and I think it is safe to say that the entire group, as well as Henry, are looking forward to our next meeting.
