Working with My Team and the Business Has Been Such a Fun and Rewarding Experience

Kimmy summarizes the group's success with the new marketing strategy.

Since getting our logo finalized, things have been moving very quickly for our team. Recently, our new website was created and uploaded to a sleeker domain name. Before, Mary’s website was very long, but now it is short and sweet: immaculate-cleaning.org. With the new domain we were also able to create a business email so that she no longer has to use her personal email. Our modern, eye-catching business cards are also in the works since we now have the official information that needs to go on them. It’s slightly overwhelming to be working on so many things at once, especially on top of our regular course loads, but it is even more exciting and rewarding to be seeing our plans actually come to fruition. What I’m most excited for is working on developing marketing campaigns for Immaculate Cleaning. I think that is when we will really get to see the return on all the time we have invested in this business. However, we need to complete inputting information into the website before we can start directing customers there.

It’s definitely been a dramatic increase in pace from last quarter, but I’ve learned a lot over the last few weeks, particularly when it comes to leadership, teamwork, and time management. One of the reasons our team is able to get so much done so quickly is because of our ability to maintain open communication and designate projects among us. Each member is personally responsible for making sure certain aspects of our plan is completed, but we all still help and give input to the person who is in charge of that piece. This setup makes us simultaneously leaders and followers, ensuring no one is overwhelmed or overly controlling. Working with my team and the business has been such a fun and rewarding experience. I can’t wait to see everything come together at the end of the quarter!
