Alpha Kappa Psi (AKPsi) is a professional organization that aims to prepare its members with the professional and social skills needed for their success within every career. We host a variety of social, professional, and service events to help build community and give back.

 

I joined this organization as a freshman because I wanted to find my community at SCU and figure out what I wanted to pursue as my career. Through my pledging process, I was able to talk with numerous brothers about their experience and was even able to land my first internship because of the networking AKPsi provided. I have found some of my best friends throughout my journey at AKPsi and will forever cherish the memories created!

 

I most enjoy being able to talk to each of the incoming classes, helping them become the best versions of themselves and building their community. I also enjoy being able to lead this organization to make a stronger impact on the broader SCU community, helping assist those who were especially marginalized and/or disadvantaged coming into SCU.

 

Santa Clara University Accounting Association (SCUAA) is a student driven organization that promotes networking and career opportunities to Accounting and AIS majors. We host lots of events for our students to learn more about opportunities in the corporate workspace and socialize with alumni/other accounting students.

 

I joined SCUAA’s executive team because I wanted to be able to help contribute to the community building aspect SCUAA emphasizes. Being able to create and implement new event ideas and help current students find their careers in accounting through our events has been truly amazing.

 

I most enjoy working with this executive team and being able to have a support network of professionals that I can reach out to. The opportunity to network with these professionals at all different firms has been a one of a kind experience, especially while I am still in school!
