The Santa Clara Investment Fund (SCIF) is a student-run investment fund that manages a portion of the University’s endowment, while giving members hands-on experience in equity research, financial analysis, and investment strategy. Through education, mentorship, and real-world investing, SCIF prepares its members to excel in competitive finance careers while fostering a collaborative, values-driven community.
I joined SCIF because I wanted to really dive into finance and figure out if it’s the right path for me career-wise, which it turned out to be! I also wanted to meet and work with other ambitious, like‑minded people who inspire me to push myself. It’s been the perfect mix of learning, growing, and building an amazing network.
Honestly, it’s the people. Everyone is so smart, driven, and enjoyable to work with, and they constantly inspire me to bring my best. On top of that, it’s exciting to manage a portion of SCU’s real endowment and see our work make a tangible impact.
