Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.
Coming into college, I knew I wanted to get involved, I just didn't know where to start. Delta Sigma Pi became my launch pad, from choosing classes and getting early internship leads to actually learning how business works. Beyond the professional side, I found my people at beach cleanups, Saturday brunch runs, and late study sessions, and now I live with friends I met through DSP!
First week on campus, I saw clubs tabling and decided to check out DSP recruitment. I remember walking into the room a little nervous, but within minutes they knew my name, asked about my goals, and made me feel at home. I took a leap of faith and joined, and from there I got even more help: upperclassmen showed me how to pick classes, balance my time, plug into clubs, and prep for internships. That support made me want to pay it forward, so I stepped up to lead. What surprised me most is how much I keep learning. You end up talking with everyone and seeing the club from so many perspectives. The best parts are the little moments like late night planning that turns into real talks, quick coffee check ins, and spontaneous weekend trips. I love leading and being part of such an awesome group of people!
