What are you doing this summer? This summer I assisted the origination and securitization teams on different projects, assignments, and deals regarding commercial real estate properties all across the country. I gained hands on experience working with high level industry professionals and networked with people across the investment banking industry.
Hopefully you’ve grown both professionally and personally from this summer experience. Name one or two “life” lessons you learned and will carry forward after graduation. One life lesson I learned this summer is to be yourself. Everyone I worked with was extremely smart and worked very hard, but everyone was also their own passionate, motivated person.
What has been the most memorable part of your experience? The most memorable part of my summer was the people I met. In my own intern class, I met people attending universities across the country, and it was so fun getting to know them and learn about their experience.
What advice would you give to younger students who are searching for summer opportunities? My advice is to meet as many people as you can and learn about as many different job opportunities as you can. You never know what you want to do until you try it!
