What are you doing this summer? From June to January, I’m part of the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World, gaining hands-on experience bringing the magic to life for guests while learning how Disney operates on a world-class scale. Each day I get to be part of creating unforgettable memories, while also building valuable skills in communication, teamwork, and leadership. This opportunity has been such a dream come true, allowing me to grow both personally and professionally in one of the most inspiring companies in the world.


Hopefully you’ve grown both professionally and personally from this summer experience. Name one or two “life” lessons you learned and will carry forward after graduation. During my time at Disney, I’ve learned the importance of creating meaningful connections, adapting quickly in fast-paced environments, and leading with empathy. These lessons will continue to guide me throughout my career, reminding me that success comes from both strong performance and the positive impact we leave on others.

 
What has been the most memorable part of your experience? The most memorable part of my Disney College Program has been realizing that, while my role may feel like a small part of a much larger operation, it can mean the world to a family in the moment. Even the smallest interaction has the power to shape core memories and create lasting joy, and being able to contribute to that every day is something I’ll carry with me throughout my career.
 
What advice would you give to younger students who are searching for summer opportunities? My advice is to never lose your spark of creativity and always embrace opportunities that push you outside your comfort zone. Every challenge is a chance to grow into the best version of yourself, and those experiences will shape both your career and your character in incredible ways.
