Impact Investing Training Boot Camp

Miller Center is offering a Impact Investing Training Boot Camp Summer 2021

Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship, a Center of Distinction at Santa Clara University, is offering paid scholarships to Santa Clara University eligible students to participate in an Impact Investing training boot camp this summer led by University Impact followed by a paid internship working at Miller Center.
 
Students should be:
  • Interested in social impact
  • Curious how investments can generate positive social and environmental effects in addition to financial gains
  • And possibly interested in a career in impact investing or venture capital
This intensive three-week training program (July 12-30, 2021) will teach the principles of impact investing, from financial analysis to social impact measurement. Participants will participate in an in-depth impact investing program, including hands-on experience with the due diligence process and training on the hard and soft skills required of an impact investment professional.

Returning Santa Clara University students of all majors (especially first year and sophomores) are encouraged to apply.

Miller Center has a limited number of paid scholarships available and preference will be given to returning students who are able to commit to a paid internship working at Miller Center following successful completion of the boot camp.

Miller Center Impact Investing Interns, will get hands-on work experience researching, analyzing, and determining the impactfulness and investment readiness of social enterprises from around the globe. 
 
Interns are expected to:
  • Participate in the virtual boot camp for 7 hours daily from July 12 to July 30, 2021, AND
  • commit to working a minimum of two consecutive quarters at 8-12 hours per week after successful completion of the boot camp at Miller Center
