We hope that you have had a great Spring Break! The Career Center invites you to participate in all we have to offer to support you in your job/internship search and career discernment journey. Check out our virtual and in-person events as well as the self-serve resources on our website and/or make an appointment in Handshake to speak with a Career Coach.

Upcoming Career Center Events:

Wednesday, 4/10, Spring Career Fair – Register on Handshake, 3 - 6 PM, AEC Gym

All Santa Clara University students and alumni are invited to attend our 2024 Spring Career Fair. During the fair, you can:

  • Find part-time, full-time, internship, and volunteer opportunities
  • Network with employers
  • Learn about career opportunities that organizations have to offer
  • Your Student Handshake email account is required to enter the fair.

View the list of participating employers and their available positions in Handshake. We encourage you to review this list in advance to prepare for successful networking with recruiters during the fair.

Wednesday, 4/3, Career Advisor Social Hour, Drop by Career Answers/Coaching, 12:30 - 1:30, Lucas Hall Lobby 

Welcome to the first Business & Entrepreneurship Career Advisor Social Hour (CASH) of the Spring 2024 quarter!  CASH is a casual, drop-by time to have your career-related questions answered: no appointments needed! Bring a friend, or swing by on your own. 

The Week 1 CASH will be held on Wednesday, 04/3/24 from 12:30 - 1:30 pm in the Lucas Hall lobby. 

Find out what you need to know to be prepared for upcoming employer events this quarter.  Get ready for the in-person Spring Career Fair, being held on Wed., April 10, from 3-6 pm in the Athletic Excellence Center (AEC).  Do you have questions about your resume, networking and/or internship/job search? Stop by for a casual chat with Noël Kreidler, Associate Director - Career Development & Campus Integration, Business & Entrepreneurship, to learn more. All career-related questions are welcome!

Thursday, 4/4, Resume Lab - Register on Handshake, 12:15 - 1:15 PM, Williman Room

Whether you are preparing for the upcoming in-person Spring Career Fair, looking for support in completing a resume assignment for class, or giving summer internship possibilities your last, best push, this resume lab can help you progress in that direction! What you can expect:

  • 1hr of formal content sharing and workshopping (12:15 - 1:15 PM), plus an additional 30min of optional workshopping time (1:15 - 1:45 PM) with multiple staff member support

In preparation for the lab, please:

  • BRING YOUR OWN LAPTOP. Should you have difficulty accessing one, reach out to Vania Tong vtong@scu.edu ASAP
  • Create your free Vmock account via Single Sign On (https://www.vmock.com/scu) if you haven't already done so
  • Bring a buddy and bring your questions!

Monday, 4/8, Goodbye Sweatpants, Hello Slacks - Register on Handshake, 12:00 - 1:30 PM, Williman Room

Get out of your sweatpants, get your head out of the clouds, and immerse yourself in the crowds: prepare for SCU’s upcoming in-person Spring Career Fair for all majors!

Drop by the Williman Room (Benson) anytime between 12 - 1:30 PM and in a simulated fair environment, go from booth to booth to:

  • Learn how to dress for success
  • Get your resume questions answered
  • Discover in-person fair etiquette
  • Develop, practice, and deliver a compelling elevator pitch, and
  • Create a plan of action to prioritize and maximize your time at the fair(s)

Bring a friend. Learn new things. Refresh what you might have forgotten or been out of practice for! See you there!
