Hobbies/Interests: Traveling, Volunteering at Greek Church, Coffee Addict.

Biography: Sofia Kotsiri is an Economics Lecturer at Santa Clara University since the Fall of 2017. She completed her B.A and M.A from the University of Patras, Greece where she is originally from and her Ph.D. from North Carolina State University. She has worked as a postdoc for Purdue University and her research focused on agricultural economics and, in particular, precision farming technologies and local food. She serves as the Managing Editor for the journals of Local Development & Society and the Community Development. She has been awarded for her teaching excellence from the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association (AAEA). Sofia is married and has two kids so she spends a lot of time outdoors enjoying parks and Californian weather.
