Biography: Active in Silicon Valley, Bill currently works at Santa Clara University (SCU) in Santa Clara, CA and at the Center for Conscientious Leadership (CCL) in Menlo Park, CA. He also partners with his faculty colleagues to assure student learning is consistent with the School's desired educational goals and outcomes.

At the CCL he partners with today’s influential leaders in Silicon Valley to form the next generation into leaders of character, courage, and impact. Bill holds a Masters of Education in Community Counseling from Kent State University, a Master of Arts in Social Theory and Theological Ethics from the Graduate Theological Union, a Master of Business Administration from the Leavey School at Santa Clara University, and a Certificate in Evidence-Based Coaching from Fielding University. Advice for Undergraduate Students: "The advice I would offer to undergraduate students is better expressed by an activist and clergyman I admire, William Sloane Coffin. "But you have to experience far more in life. Values are less taught than caught, caught in 'important experiences'. Ethical principles and moral theories motivate no one. Empathy and courage spring from the heart. Remember that the greatest perils to the planet arise not from the poor and ignorant for whom education is an answer; they are caused by the well-educated for whom self-interest is the problem. And I'll tell you something else: action tends to lead to more new ways of thinking than does thought to new ways of acting." - William Sloane Coffin"
