What are you doing this summer? This summer, I am working as a Financial Analyst Intern at Cisco in their Leaders in Finance and Technology (LIFT) Program. I'm supporting Cisco's service provider routing team in creating their 2024 forecast and implementing scenario analyses for expected revenues and costs. Additionally, I got the opportunity to work on a case study with other interns which involved building a long-range forecast for a recent acquisition that Cisco recently made.
What has been the most memorable part of your experience? Professionally, I really enjoyed talking to senior-level management, such as the CFO, CAO, Director of Investor Relations, and VP of Corporate Finance to hear their advice about breaking into a career in Finance and their experiences at Cisco. Personally, I also had the chance to give a TED talk about a personal hobby to current interns and full-time analysts in the LIFT program. Lastly, I had a great time at the community service event where they took us to the Boys and Girls Club in Santa Clara to volunteer with children!
