What are you doing this summer? I am a Financial analyst intern with Tektronix, a company based in Beaverton, Oregon that manufactures and services oscilloscopes. I mainly worked with the finance teams that supported the Services Solutions Organization (SSO) and the Commercial Sales Organization (CSO).
What has been the most memorable part of your experience? My internship was project based, and the for the first of the two projects, I was able to build a dynamic input-output model that illustrated the tradeoff and optimal levels between hiring additional employees in Tektronix's service labs vs delegating hours for overtime given the current level of employees. This was extremely gratifying as the project took about 7 weeks to complete from gathering voice of customer (VOC) along with finding and wrangling the data needed to build the model.
