Do you have a favorite class that you are taking? Why?
My favorite class I'm currently taking is Art in the Roman World with Professor Albert Prieto. This class is a weekly 3hr onsite course that explores the city, art, and history of Ancient Rome. We have been to the Roman and Imperial Forums, Pantheon, Colosseum, museums, and so much more. It’s like having a personal tour guide for 3hrs every Tuesday and it’s awesome!!

What do you like about your program/university?
Something I really love about my program is the community of students and staff. Our school is an island program consisting of around 200 students, so we all get to know each other really well. Our classes, dorms, library, cafeteria, and more are all within the same building so everything is really convenient and perfect for building a good community. I’ve been able to make such amazing friends here that I’m going to miss so much! We also have intramural soccer games called calcio which are super fun!

What has been your favorite place that you visited so far or favorite part about your city? Why?
Copenhagen would be my favorite city I’ve visited because I went on this free walking tour with the best tour guide I've ever had. I visited historical locations and learned the fascinating facts of Copenhagen and what it’s like to live there. It's also extremely beautiful, their food is delicious, and the fashion there is top notch. My second favorite was probably Krakow, so I’d definitely visit that one too.

What advice would you give to the Leavey students planning to study abroad next year?
My advice for students planning to go abroad would be to reach out to students who are currently studying at the locations they’re thinking about attending and ask them about it. When I was applying I hopped on a couple Zoom calls and got in contact with people who were studying at my top locations so I could get their real opinions on what it was like to live there. They told me about their campuses, their time traveling during the weekends, and answered all of the questions I had. That ultimately helped me make decisions on what my rankings would be, and got me really excited to study abroad!
