Department Welcomes Mike Hartglass
Mike Hartglass is a new tenure-track faculty member. He is a mathematician with an expertise in analysis – in particular operator algebras. He is coming to us from UC Riverside, where he was a post-doc. He got his Bachelors Degree at the University of Rochester in Mathematics and in Physics and got his Ph.D. at UC Berkeley in Mathematics. Mike will teach the Department’s Real Analysis sequence this year.
He is an avid musician – he played trombone with the U.C. Berkeley symphony and is looking for a band to play with. He is looking forward to mentoring and mingling with our majors. So drop by and say hi.
