Professor Levy Receives $24,000 Grant and Role of Lead Quantitative Investigator on the Everyday Peace Indicators Project

Naomi Levy has assumed the role of Lead Quantitative Investigator on the Everyday Peace Indicators Project, which is funded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York and led by Pamina Firchow (George Mason University) and Roger Mac Ginty (University of Manchester).  This exciting and innovative project is based on the premise that, rather than relying on external ‘experts’ to identify indicators of peace, local communities are best placed to identify changes in their own circumstances. Through its inductive, participatory approach to the generation of peace indicators, it develops bottom-up measures of peace that can be meaningfully integrated into policy processes.  Levy recently received a $24,107 subaward from George Mason University to support her work on the project.
