The Political Science Department Welcomes Colton Heffington

Colton Heffington teaches courses on international relations and international law. His current research interests center on civil war, terrorism, sanctions, human rights, and international conflict. Forthcoming work in Conflict Management and Peace Science, Foreign Policy Analysis, and The Journal of Global Security Studies investigate some of these topics. In particular, his research projects examine public opinion and conflict, as well as 3rd party involvement in civil wars. Colton is also part of the ongoing Most Important Problems Dataset (MIPD) project that tracks public opinion about important problems in America from 1939 until now.
