Graduation

Religious Studies majors should begin this process no less than one year prior to graduating.

  1. Check your degree audit.
Students are responsible for knowing their graduation requirements. This is most easily done by checking your degree audit, which will show you any unsatisfied requirements. All degree audit requirements must be satisfied in order to graduate. If you are unsure, you need to contact your advisor or the Office of the Registrar.

  2. Meet with your Advisor to complete Pre-Graduation Evaluation form.
Contact your advisor and arrange a meeting. The Pre-Graduation Evaluation form can be picked up in the department office. Review the form with your advisor and have your advisor sign it.

  3. Meet with the Department Chair.
Have the department chair sign the Pre-Graduation Evaluation form and turn in your exit interview and post-grad plans forms.

  4. Turn in the completed Pre-Graduation Evaluation form.
Completed forms should be taken to the SCU One Stop office in the Admissions and Enrollment Services building.

  5. Submit your diploma name and address.
This information is used to order your diploma and to list your name in the commencement program.

  6. Continue to check your degree audit.
If any requirements are listed as unsatisfied you will not graduate! Follow up on any outstanding requirements with your advisor or record analyst to find out what you need to do in order to satisfy the requirement. Continue to check your degree audit until all of your requirements are listed as satisfied. If you have completed all of these steps, you should be ready to graduate!

*If you have a second or third major, you must check with the other department(s) regarding their graduation evaluation process.

**If you are interested in seeking a double degree, you must contact the Drahmann Center to: (a) schedule an appointment with a Drahmann advisor and (b) obtain approval from the Drahmann Center dean.
