David Gray: Promotion and New Work

This Spring quarter, David Gray learned that he was promoted to Professor, and also appointed by Father Michael Engh, S.J. as the Bernard J. Hanley Professor. He was also re-appointed to serve as chair of the Department of Religious Studies for another three years.

In addition to his responsibilities as department chair, David also saw the publication of a journal article this Spring. His article, "The Rhetoric of Violence in the Buddhist Tantras" was just published by the Journal of Religion and Violence. The article is currently available in online format on their website and will be published as well in the next print issue of the journal. He also edited the proofs of his next book manuscript, which should be released later this year.
