Samuel is a triple major in History, Religious Studies, and English. His projects were titled California's Bracero Program: Racializing and Legalizing Mexican Transportation and Reframing José Rizal: Secular Martyrdom in Colonial Spanish and Post-Colonial American-Philippines Narrative. He is also one of the winners of the Helene LaFrance Undergraduate Library Research Award, as well as the 2024-25 Hoefer Prize (see story in News section of this newsletter). Next year, Samuel will begin Law School at Santa Clara.

Joseph is also a Religious Studies major. His project is titled Dietrich Bonhoeffer: A Case for Martyrdom, which was a part of a project that he worked on with Prof. Roberto Mata as an outgrowth of Mata’s course on martyrdom. Next year, Joseph will be participating in Brophy College Preparatory Alumni Service Corps. After that, he wants to go to grad school for a Master's in Theological Studies.
