Brad Cloutier, EMT-P
Advisor

Brad Cloutier is a Captain with the San Jose Fire Department. He received his B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles and is a California licensed paramedic and an EMT instructor. He takes pride in helping the student EMS members become better medical practitioners and help them enjoy this unique experience. His personal interests include playing ice hockey, fishing, and chasing tornadoes. Contact: bcloutier@scu.edu

James Mendoza, M.A., EMT-P
Advisor

James Mendoza is a Captain with the San Jose Fire Department. He earned an M.A. in Education from the Stanford Graduate School of Education and a B.S. in Microbiology and Immunology from the Stanford School of Medicine. James began working with the student EMTs as an EMT instructor, and he continues to enjoy the squad in the role of advisor. In his spare time, he constructs models designed to teach the science of firefighting. Contact: j13mendoza@scu.edu

 

Beverly Molina, EMT-P
Advisor 

Bev Molina is a Firefighter with the Santa Clara Fire Department. She received her B.A in Public Relations at San Jose State University and is a licensed paramedic. She is currently also assigned as the Community Engagement and Inclusion, Diversity & Equity Officer for the Santa Clara Fire Department. She enjoys sharing her field experience of over 20 years with the student EMTs. Off duty, she enjoys long road trips and exploring natural wonders with her family, hiking, dancing, and inspiring young people to a career in the fire service.

Lukas Lerner, EMT-P
Advisor 

Lukas Lerner has worked as a Firefighter for the City of Santa Clara for the past 6 years. Lukas got his start in EMS as a member of the Summit at Snoqualmie Ski Patrol. Lukas is a former SCU EMS member graduating in 2015 from SCU with a BA in Philosophy. He is looking forward to helping students develop their passion in EMS and healthcare the same way he was developed by the program years ago. In his free time, Lukas is an avid sports fan specifically cheering on the Seahawks and Mariners when they are in town.
