Orientation Leader: 2026 Application Process
Being an Orientation Leader (OL) is one of the premier leadership opportunities Santa Clara University has to offer. The Orientation program is one of the essential pieces in a new student's transition to the university and the OLs are the heart of the program. OLs come from various backgrounds, areas of study, and personality types. Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to apply to be an Orientation Leader!
Here are a few things to help as you consider applying:
1) Attend an Info Session! Want to learn more about the OL position and selection process? Join us for in-person sessions during the dates below:
- Info Session #1: December 3, 2025, 1:00-2:00pm (Parlors B/C, Benson Center)
- Info Session #2: December 4, 2025, 5:30-6:30pm (Locatelli Center, Room 209)
- Info Session #3: December 5, 2025, 4:00-5:00pm (Parlors B/C, Benson Center)
2) Complete the online application. The link to the application is now live! Key dates to remember:
- Applications are due Friday, January 9, 2026 at 11:59pm PDT.
- Two rounds of Interviews
- Group Interviews (In-Person): January 15-17, 2026.
- Individual Interviews (In-Person): January 20-23, 2026.
- Offers will be made to selected candidates on March 12, 2026.
If you are on the fence about applying, just do it! Give yourself time to consider your options for this upcoming summer. Being an OL requires accountability, creativity, and thoughtfulness. You will be challenged in new ways and you will learn from these challenges.
